A baseball was unthreaded and taken apart, the white nylon thread from around the cork was unraveled and the red wax cotton thread that the baseball was originally sewn together with was wrapped around the cork and the baseball was then sewn back together by hand with the white nylon thread quadrupled. Since there was more nylon thread than the wax cotton, the baseball is no longer tight, and there is a bit of give at the seams.
